What an incredible weekend it was for the Cub Scouts and Joey Scouts of Mt Gravatt South! From the moment we arrived at Rochedale, the adventure kicked off with archery, creative crafts, wild water games, archery and building shelters from found materials. The fun didn’t stop there—two nights under canvas, plus an unforgettable campfire, made the experience truly special.
For many of our young people, it was their very first time away from home and sleeping out on camp. And wow—did they rise to the challenge! Not only did they pick up essential camping skills, but their confidence soared as they pushed past limits they didn’t even know they had.
Cubs have fun

Many squeals of delight were had.
This Sunday, the Cub Scouts, Joey Scouts, Scouts and Venturer Scouts all went paddling at Karingal Dam at Mount Cotton.
Canoes kayaks and stand up paddle boards were in full swing.
The weather was hot and very humid even to the point of a few sprinkles of rain. The youth members didn’t care. They were out in their element, in the wild.
